Ask Abi, week 24

Your questions, answered.

Question 1

"How much Plex Treatment should I use if I have mid-length fine curly hair?" - Lucy

My Answer

For the Plex Treatment, use as much as needed to fully saturate your hair.

Apply it to damp hair after shampooing, leave it in for 60 minutes, then rinse and follow with your usual routine.

You can use it every couple of weeks or weekly if your hair feels like it needs extra strength and repair.

Question 2

"How to I stop my hair needing to be re-washed/styled after sleeping/night time?" - Abby

My Answer

Wavy hair can lose definition or frizz up overnight, but a few tweaks can really help preserve your style while you sleep:

1) Pineapple your hair – Gently gather your hair into a loose, high ponytail on top of your head using a soft scrunchie. This keeps your waves from getting flattened.

2) Sleep on silk or satin – These pillowcases reduce friction, which means less frizz and more definition when you wake up.

3) Use a bonnet or scarf – If pineappling doesn’t work for you, wrapping your hair in a silk or satin scarf can also protect your waves.

4) Refresh, not re-style - In the morning, use a light mist of Refresh Spray or water, scrunch in a tiny bit of Wave Cream or Protect Gel, and let your waves bounce back without a full wash.

It might take a bit of trial and error, but once you find what works, your waves will last much longer between wash days
