How to refresh wavy hair

Product build-up, humidity, sleeping, day to day life. There are multiple reasons why your waves lose definition on non-wash days. They become weighed down, lose their shape, appear messy.

Which is why you need to understand how to quickly refresh your waves.

This process will revitalise your natural wave pattern, giving your hair more definition and hold. It'll allow you to go longer between wash days.

Prevention is always better than cure

Which is why it’s critical to protect your hair when you’re asleep.

Tossing and turning on cotton pillowcase causes havoc with your hair. Firstly, it causes friction. This leads to frizz and breakages. Secondly, cotton absorbs vital moisture out of your hair. Moisture your waves crave.

The solution is switching to silk pillowcases. They are gentler on your hair and absorb less moisture.

Game changer if you don't want to wake up looking like you've been dragged through a bush.

Refresh routine #1

1. Grab yourself a mist spray bottle. Then mix together some #2 Repair Conditioner and water.

2. Dampen down your hair using mist spray. This'll keep your hair nicely hydrated, which is vital to long lasting waves.

3. With damp hands, scrunch in a little #5 Protect Gel. This will lock your waves definition in place.

4. Once your hair is dry (won't take long as it's damp, not wet) I smooth through some wavy hair oil. The oil seals in the moisture, which prevents it from drying out and becoming frizzy.

Refresh routine #2

Use our Refresh Spray. It's the quickest and easiest way to re-define your post wash day waves.

Simply spray and scrunch. The upward scrunching motion will break up any frizz and re-shape your wave pattern.

It's packed full of glycerin and jojoba esters. Deeply conditioning nutrients that attract and maintain your hairs moisture levels by penetrating the hair shaft and improving elasticity. Eliminating fly away frizz.

Yet unlike hairsprays, it’s non-sticky and lightweight. It won’t make your hair greasy or gunky. Your waves won’t become weighed down.
