Alexandra's wavy hair journey

"I have always had wavy hair, however I've never been able to just leave it. 

It always had to be styled whether that was with heat, or throwing it up in a ponytail to tame the crazy. 

Before straighteners were a thing, or even quality enough to have an impact on my hair, me and my sister used to iron our hair on the ironing board before our dad was home from work. 

Yes you read that right. An iron!

Over the years I have also been a hair model, meaning multiple dying sessions.

This was along side my own trips to the hairdresser, so it has taken on a lot of stress.

As I have got older and having children my hair has definitely become a lot drier and almost brittle towards the ends…

You know, that nice crunchy feeling between your fingers.

This is when I knew I needed to ditch the straighteners and start my journey on embracing my natural waves.

But where to start…

I had seen Merwave on social media for so long and always liked what I saw.

So I took the plunge and only a few days in, I wish I had done it sooner!
