1. Use lightweight products

Wavy hair isn’t curly. Heavy ingredients found in curly hair products such as butters and oils don’t work well on wavy hair. Your waves will become weighed down and producty. Not a great look!

Instead opt for lighter products that contain extracts. The result will be softer, bouncier, more defined waves that last all day.

2. Hydrate. Hydrate. Hydrate

Wavy hair craves moisture. A lack of it will cause your hair to become brittle, tangled and frizzy. Use a conditioner that’s packed with hydrating ingredients like Glycerin and Jojoba oil. Your hair will be oozing with moisture and full of life.

Also treat yourself to a deep conditioning mask once a fortnight for an added hydration hit. Your waves will become silky-soft, shiny and energised. Frizz will be a thing of the past!

3. Strengthen with protein

On the flip side, too much moisture can make your hair feel mushy, weak and lifeless. Which is why you need a protein to strengthen your waves hair structure and keep your protein/moisture levels balanced.

Use products that contain Hydrolysed Wheat Protein. They are easily absorbed into the hair shaft, which repairs the damaged hair whilst adding strength and volume to your waves.

4. Use a shampoo suitable for wavy hair

Most off the shelf, cheap shampoos contain harsh ingredients such as silicones, sulphates and parabans. These strip away your hairs natural oils. Oils your wavy hair needs to stay soft, shiny and healthy.

Make sure you’re using products that don’t contain these harmful ingredients. Your hair will become healthier as a result.

5. Don't use heat

Straighteners, curling tongs etc will cause long lasting damage to your hair. They’ll dry it out, causing it to become brittle and lifeless. Embrace your gorgeous natural waves instead!

For drying, use a microfibre hair towel. Unlike normal bath towels it won’t cause friction, which results in less frizz and breakages. If you do need to speed up the drying process, use a diffuser on a low heat.

Awaken Your Waves

Wave goodbye to dull, frizzy hair. Say hello to beach worthy waves waves.
